“Beautiful China” 2013 Green Festival was successfully closed in Beijing recently. It was held by “Beautiful China” 2013 Green Festival Organization Committee, together with China Hengmei Volunteer Alliance, finance.China.com.cn, Huanqiu.com, green.sina.com.cn, China.com, Jinghua.cn, International Business Daily, ChinaTimes, Truth Seeking-Xiaokang Magazine, Asian Business Leaders, Sino-manager.com, Chinanewtime.com, Xincaijing.com, BNET Business School, News360, Chinavalue.net, Caixun.com and Niuliwen. Fosun Pharma won the 2013 “Beautiful China” Best Corporate Public Image Award with excellent performance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and the delivery of industry-leading CSR report.

The “Beautiful China” campaign is of dual significance with the aim of raising public awareness of environmental protection and advocating environmental protection behaviors on the one hand and driving CSR and creating sound commercial environment on the other. More than 500 people, including talents from the fields of politics, commerce, academics, media and public welfare and excellent representatives from the World’s Top 500 and state-run and private companies participated in the event.

The “Beautiful China” Award Ceremony specially designed 2 segments of saluting the environmental protection models and the companies actively performing CSR and promoting sustainable development. 10 awards were unveiled, including Best Organization Award, Best Green Sustainability Program Award, Corporate Public Image Award, Green Technology Award and Green Communication Award. The award winners including Fosun Pharma, Schneider Electric, Ford Motor, Veolia and BMW China made remarkable achievements in corporate governance, corporate innovation, industry contribution, environmental protection, social welfare and brand building.

Adhering to the principle of sustainable development, Fosun Pharma places equal importance on social responsibility, economic benefit and biological benefit. Since 1998, Fosun Pharma has attended and organized a number of public welfare activities in education & research, environmental protection, medical care & social demand and culture across countries and regions. Fosun Pharma has had a well-established public welfare system-”Future Star” public welfare program, for the purpose of performing CSR and giving back to society through supporting education, offering financial aid on scientific research and community medical service, helping orphans with diseases, donating money to the poor and providing disaster relief. At present, Fosun Pharma has given financial aid to more than 200 excellent students and teachers to facilitate the development of education in China and foster high-caliber personnel. Since 2006, Fosun Pharma has undertaken almost 100 projects of fighting against malaria in Africa in response to the call of the Chinese government and taught the developing countries on how to fight against malaria.
